Tractive uses GPS/LTE technology and connects to the best available mobile network - just like a phone - to provide location data everywhere your pet goes.
What's the difference between DOG, DOG XL, and DOG XL Adventure?
Both DOG XL models have a battery life of up to 1 month and are best suited for dogs above 50 lbs, whereas the DOG has a battery life of up to 14 days and is recommended for dogs that weigh 9 lbs and above. Visit our comparison page to see all the differences.
What is the range of a tractive GPS Tracker?
Unlimited. In fact, you could track your pet even if you're on the other side of the world. Tractive works in 175+ countries where there is 2G and/or LTE (CatM1) cellular coverage from one of our 500+ partners.
Will the tracker fit my dog?
Most likely, yes. Tractive currently offers different dog trackers, depending on your pet's size and needs. For pups that weigh 9 lbs and above, we recommend the DOG 4. For bigger dogs from 50 lbs and above, both the DOG XL and the DOG XL Adventure, with a fiberglass-enforced casing for extra-tough exploits, will be a good fit.
What are Health Alerts and when do I get them?
Health Alerts are sent to your email or via the app if your dog’s activity or sleep have shown unusual changes over a longer period. This is often a potential sign of a health problem. These alerts are especially useful when your buddy is trying to hide their pain, or when their symptoms are almost invisible.
Why do I need a subscription and what plans are available?
Tractive trackers have a built-in SIM card, like your phone, that uses mobile networks to send you location info. All the fees needed to do that are covered by a tracker subscription plan That way, you get to enjoy unlimited range worldwide. You can only use your tracker with a tracker plan. More information
