Why Health Monitoring is important, according to a vet
Pets are great at hiding pain, so it’s not always easy to know if your four-legged friend is unwell. By knowing which signs to look out for, such as changes in their activity or sleep, pet owners can catch issues early on and talk to their vet.

Without enough data, we won’t be able to create a clear picture of what counts as normal activity and sleep for your buddy. To make sure you get accurate, useful alerts, we recommend using the tracker regularly, also during the night.
We check your buddy’s usual activity and sleep, as well as using insights based on data from millions of dogs. If there have been significant changes that last longer, you will likely get an alert.
Activity data is calculated using a built-in accelerometer that measures your pet’s movements. Then, algorithms analyze the data and convert it into easy-to-understand Activity stats.
Your pet's tracker is powerful enough to detect movement, sleep and in the case of dogs, how often they bark. With this data, it can learn what is typical behavior for your pet and spot irregularities.
Keep your pet's tracker on their collar regularly, including overnight, for at least 7 days. This will activate the Wellness Score. In order to get Health Alerts, your pet should wear their tracker for at least 12 hours a day and overnight for 6 weeks minimum.
If you don’t know what could be causing the changes, it doesn’t hurt to talk to your vet, especially if you start noticing other symptoms. You know your dog best, so just see Health Alerts as an early warning system to help you detect hard-to-see signs.
