Your territory

As part of our Software team, you will:

  • Develop innovative software solutions that have a real-world impact, helping millions of pets stay safe and connected around the globe
  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails, NoSQL databases, and AWS services
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet business goals and project needs
  • Shape the overall architecture by working closely with senior team members and architects, ensuring robust design principles
  • Promote quality in every aspect of development by implementing best practices in coding, design, and testing
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of learning
  • Stay updated with new technologies and improve development processes
  • Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
  • Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level

Your profile

Key requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ Years of experience with Ruby on Rails & building scalable apps
  • Proficient in NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) & AWS services (ECS, EC2, Fargate)
  • Expert in RESTful APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker)
  • Strong knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English
