Dog owners using Tractive can now automatically upload walks to Strava, boosting their motivation to get active with their furry friends.

According to Strava’s 2023 Year In Sport data, 76% of athletes globally who have pets say their furry companions help get them out the door when they wouldn’t go otherwise, and that exercising with their pets is more fun.

Strava is the leading digital community for active people with more than 125 million athletes globally. The platform offers a holistic view of your active lifestyle, no matter where you live, which sport you love and/or what device you use.

Tractive lets dog owners record walks with their four-legged friends

Currently, dog owners who have the Tractive GPS app can record walks with their dogs via the app. Their walk stats, including distance and duration, then appear in the History tab of the app. 

When dog owners connect their Tractive and Strava accounts, they will see their walks automatically uploaded to Strava.

To sync their dog walks, Tractive GPS app users can go to their Account section and tap “Connect with Strava”. Only new walks recorded after the user connects their accounts will be uploaded to Strava.

Tractive helps keep pets safe and healthy

This latest feature will further help Tractive users keep an eye on how active and healthy their pets are and give them a boost to get active themselves.

Tractive offers features like the Wellness Score to give pet owners an overall view of how much activity and sleep their furry friend is getting. Pet owners can also receive Health Alerts to notify them of unusual patterns in their pet’s sleep or movement.
